Just moved to the Cedar Hill area and am interested in getting into some white bass on Joe Pool Lake. I've already found some good spots for black bass, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the white bass tend to hang out on the road beds and submerged ponds. Of course I know to look for the birds, but I figured I could jig or troll the road reds for a start, at least that's what we did on Lake Livingston as a kid. Just looking for a starting point I guess. Anyways, any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the area! I'm trying to figure out how to catch white bass myself. There is a thread on here dedicated to joe pool. You will find some good tips there.

Decent white bass or sandies and Joe Pool are hard to find. Impossible from my experience. I really don't think JP has a decent food supply to support a large population of sandies.
