I'm jealous!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

17th Annual Skeeter Lake Fork Owners Tournament
More than $150,000 in Cash & Prizes Up for Grabs and Youre Invited
KILGORE, Texas, May 5, 2010 Skeeter hopes to yet again break attendance records at its
annual Owners Tournament scheduled for June 3-6 on the bass-rich waters of Lake Fork, Texas.
Last year Skeeter hosted 1,546 anglers competing from 780 Skeeter boats who traveled from
every corner of the United States to attend.
Our annual Owners Tournament is like a family reunion, and our owners always put the event on
their schedule well in advance, says Skeeters National Sales Manager, Ben Jarrett. People view
this as an inexpensive way to kick-off the summer with a short, quick vacation. Folks come to enjoy
the vendors and sponsor exhibits, food, fishing lore, camaraderie and most importantly, the great
Lake Fork Bass Fishing.
Jarrett adds that each year, Skeeters Owners Tournament draws anglers from almost every
state. Folks come from everywhere, bringing spouses, friends, grandparents, kids and pets, often
staying in recreational vehicles or camp sites, making it a true family reunion. While the event
is built around having a good time, our owners are serious about the competition, as there is
significant cash on the line for fishing well.
The weekend offers a host of family-fun activities, open to the general public, while Skeeter
owners will vie for more than $150,000 in cash and prizes, including a Skeeter ZX200 powered
by a Yamaha VMAX SHO 200 to the overall big bass winner. Cash payouts will total $3,550 per
hour, with each top hourly winner receiving a check for $700, providing 130 chances of walking
away with a check during the two-day tournament. Prizes will also be awarded to top anglers in the
Junior and Ladies Divisions.
There will be plenty of activities dockside, as well have vendors and sponsor exhibits, seminars
with several of our Team Skeeter anglers and demo rides in a collection of our bass and bay
boats, says Jarrett. Dont miss your opportunity to win a Yamaha 350 Grizzly by taking a demo
ride and experience the all new Skeeter FX Series with a Yamaha VMAX SHO.
The ArmyBassAnglers fishing team will also be on-hand fully rigged with many exciting activities
for everyone with inflatables, rock climbing walls and display vehicles. Be sure to stop and show
youre support.
The Guide to Green competition will be held on Saturday, matching the days hourly big bass
winners in a two-hour, five-fish-limit shootout with Team Skeeter anglers and local Lake Fork
guides. The winner will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the Bassmaster Classic in New
Orleans, LA. next February including VIP credentials.

wow ,if thats true 850 two weeks out, 1500 or so may be dead on.

you have to get mentally ready to deal with that craziness..... when that nut ball cuts you off 20 yards down, into the 3o yards of shoreline you dreamed you'd have to yourself for 4 minutes..wave and say "good luck" and be a good ambassador for the sport.

be safe everyone and take it easy

I'll be staying at home. Don't care much for big bass tourneys.

One reason may be because the Southeast tourney was cancelled. So I would bet some folks head to Fork that normally fish Murray. I do enjoy this tournament! One of the best ran around! Good luck to everyone fishing!

We are looking forward to it again this year. Can't wait to win a new SHO...I do know one thing for sure, I'd be sleeping in my Skeeter if I had Mark's upcoming fishing calendar. I'm envious! If anyone wants to chew some fat Fri or Sat evening, we are staying in a trailer in Big Mustang. Come see us.

I'll be going. Staying in the truck. After three days without a bath no one will come within fifty yards of me.
