i am in Houston Tx for the weekend and i want to do some bass fishing but i have no idea where a public pond or much less a lake is thats close.I know where Lake Houston is but its too far.I am off of 610 and Westheimer can any one help.

i live not too far from there and you are out of luck if lake houston is too far. there isnt any lake closer than that.

What about a public ponde maybe some rivers creeks anything it doesnt have to be a lake just somthing with bass in it.

Wish I could help you. I live in North Houston. Don't know alot about that area. There are actually bass in the Bayou that winds through town. Otherwise, a 30 minute drive to the Woodlands and you can fish a ton of ponds.

if you go north on 610 to woodway, buffalo bayou goes under the highway right there. i have never fished it so i dont know if you will catch anything, but that is the only place near you. i live right down woodway and if there is a lake near by i dont know about it other than the golf course i work on.

I assume you are wanting to fish on Saturday? If so then I have a few spots out in northwest houston (cypress) that you will have a high percentage to catch a few 1.5 pounders and if your lucky be one of the few to land the 7 pounder in the pond.

FYI it only takes me 20 to 25 minutes to get to the galleria area from cypress on the weekends.
