OK guy's go easy on me here. First off I'm not a speed freak in a bass boat with that said I have seen non boaters and boaters fly out of bass boats in front of me while getting back to weight ins on time and going to a fishin hole,my butts been off of the seat way to many times rideing shotgun and driving, especially when I'm by myself. Sure your gonna say slow down. Again I'm not a speed freak. But what about when a boat "hooks" that dredded cruzer wake,or that guy who hits you in the front bow at the blind corner flying. My next bass boat will have seat belts. Thats right.A set for me and a set for my nonboater. Whatcha think?

What if the boat flips over, and you can't get out of the belt?

I've always wondered why seat belts are not an option for bass boats. Can someone enlighten me? Can they be installed and if so where would you find them?

No way. My boat will run over 90 and I will risk the possibility of a hook or flip before I would be strapped into the seat. Get a good, secure pfd and have abundant, secure hand holds on the boat for your passenger. It also goes without saying, don't take chances and be aware of everything going on around you. But seat belts, no way.

Life Jackets and kill switch attached are all a sensable boat driver should need.

I would not want to be strapped in to an upside down boat.

Have you worn your Mustang Life jacket in the rain?
It goes off. Now think about your seat belt.

While your putting seat belts in boats, put em on motorcycles as well.

How many people have actually turned their boats over? And how many people have been thrown out or at least thrown around?

Ain't that like seatbelts on a motorcycle or 4 wheeler. I'd rather install handles to hold on to.
