Have some shoes or sandals. Be careful not to step into dead matter on bottom because you might sink in mud in a few places. If your standing on hard bottom then thats safe. If you sink 1+ ft move out of area. Wade fishing is very fun, just keep casting away. I like wade fishing near grass flats the best. The fish should not be spooked by you because of the visability. Also check if you have stingrays in area or other predators to watch out for... Good luck and have alot of fun! Mustang beach channel has flounder, tips to fishing bottom during tides. seatrout, flounder, and black drum are near point of mustang.

Best to have wading boots and rayguards but if you don't make sure to shuffle you feet rather than step down on anything.
Watch out for jelly fish as you are fishing.
Wear lots of sunscreen. Standing waist deep in the salt is a very easy way to burn very badly.
Use live shrimp or crocker or piggie perch ask the bait shop guys what they are biting on.
Use a poppin cork with a stout leader under it.

Good luck!
