That is really I30 not 67.. But anyway go south under 2 bridges( I assume your rental is from Marina Del ray? ) Stay to the right under I30 and head south the little white line going out into the lake is the old jetty..Fish between there and the Power Plant. Or go left under the I30 bridge and you'll be looking at Robertson Park look around the points and drop offs and the East side of the park. Watch for stumps between the I30 and 66 brdiges stay to the West side about 100 yds off the shoreline. Good luck!

Well, I wish I could tell you, but it has been a mystery to me this year. I've had some very good trips and some very poor trips. Most of the fish I have caught have been out in deeper water between the Heath boat ramp and the power plant. The places already mentioned are usually good too. I wouldn't count on the birds too much though. I've seen very little bird activity this summer. Look for the splashes of fish on top or use your graph. The birds have not been much help.

Its all south of I-30 now, but a tricky lake to find a method of getting them to hit, before I rented a boat for a day, I would hire John Varner for a morning guide, then rent the boat.........Its worth the money, just in gas! Best of Luck!
please reduce the size of your sig image - see rules

Thank you sir Mouth, A steady pattern has not been established yet. I would get their early and look for surfacing fish. Also the best method for a newbie on any lake is the three B’s… BOATS, BENT RODS AND BIRDS. Right now the cow birds are not real reliable. So look for the other 2 If this boat that you are renting does not have a graph on it you will not be able to look on humps or points for fish. The fish are suspending after early morning above those structures. If you find them schooling you can throw humdingers , rattle traps or top waters, preferably tiny torpedoes in chrome or clear. I would drop a slab, bigger fish are usually under the schooling fish. Drop and burn it up…. If this info cant help you then get dynamite

I also would recommend John if you decide to hire a guide. He knows his stuff about catching fish and the man has been known to keep fishing even when he has a hook buried in his thumb. Now that's a dedicated fisherman!

Certainly not a pattern but we tore them up a couple weeks ago just south of the east I-30 bridge on slabs. We were sitting even with the no wake bowies jigging straight up off the bottom. Drop the slab to the bottom and jig it up and down. If you don't catch something within the first 15 - 30 min, you're in the wrong place. Good luck and make sure you post a report when you get back.

That's been a pretty regular thing over the last few weeks. They'll be on for 15-20 minutes, then off for 30 for the better part of the morning.......however, mostly undersized hybrids. Mouth.....Please, know your hybrids from a sandbass.

Taking the wife and 3 year old out Saturday evening so need some clarification on which I30 bridge everyone is talking about. If you look at the map there are two bridges. Are y'all catching more fish on the east or west side of the lake? You know the reason why I'm asking...if I can't put them on fish my day will come to an end pretty fast. And we don't want that to happen!

All the above are good, also checkout the Peanut (hump) about 1/2 way down the rock jetty by the power plant..........and further toward the dam on power plant side is the RED BARN a large cove with a red barn setting up on the bank........this is also good at times. Finally the gravel pit a little ways out from the bouys at the dam, toward the large TREES out there!
