We have checked the TP&WL and Coast Guard and your regular navigation lights must be working as per law... but there is no law requiring them to be brighter than other lights on boat... nor regulating what other lights you can have on a boat other than those.

Legally - you should still runs the legal required lights as well... there is no law governing which is brighter...

Anyone having any questions about the lights - I'll do my best to answer...
They are in a Patent Pending Process now and some of the details are proprietary at this time... however I can tell you that they are the result of both federal and several states research in Fisheries Programs combined with our knowledge in current technologies and energy management.
We also have a Canoe & Kayak system we have just completed the design of for those people that want to save gas....
The Skeeter set up in this forum is the "ideal" system... It attracts fish and yet keeps the bugs out of the boat at the same time....while still providing a "soft" useful light for the fisherman to move around , tie lines get another drink etc...
The RGB or multicolor system is for people that just want to "show their stuff"... and have the added safety of high visibility at the same time.

Sorry, I have posted email on the web site and my phone number for the lights... we have only begun marketing them in the past several weeks. Our preference is to set up dealers and train them to install them correctly.
We offer a very substantial discount to dealers who qualify...
These have taken off so fast that it has become a growth problem already... everyone that has them is still raving about them... and in turn we have an unbelievable response to them and the "dock version"
We are cureently running a 3-6 week backorders.
I think the Kayak version will be a huge success as well.

studyurfish, the life span on the lights is over 100,000+ hours. All of our lights come with a one year warranty to boot. The low LED amp draw keeps the lights cooler and running more efficient than any other light on the market. This all adds up to longer lifespans on our LED lights. On another note boogieman. We will be running a 20% discount for Memorial Day TFF members today through June 5th. The inquiries from the good folks off of this forum have been outstanding, Thanks Travis for the great post on that beautiful Skeeter. Headed to the classifieds section with the TFF promotion after this post. We will be running periodic discounts with our weekly ads on The Lone Star Outdoors Show with Cable Smith, our Facebook page "TopCat Marine Lighting", and at www.wildcatlighting.com. Pictures and video are up of some of our customers boats. Here is a pic of our lights installed under a splash rail of a center console, lights powered by a 12v deer feeder battery in the video only to prove the low draw on the battery. I will not advertise on the photo/video section again, feel free to pm me or ask a question on this thread and I will happily reply to you. I hope I have answered everyones questions to date.

Brandon, Great visiting with you also. Buchanan will not be the same, the way those Hybrids have been growing there should be some great fishing at night for those footballs with fins along with the stripers, whites, and crappie. I love that lake. After you get the lights on make sure you send us a video of the baitfish and boat, a few of our customers are having too much fun and not sending us videos lol. Thanks for the compliment David Lee. B_Vandy, we actually have a design already submitted in the patent process for the yaks. Cant get into details of course but it is pretty wicked and beats the heck out of the durn flashlight bulbs that they are running on the yaks now. Until this patent is pending we can use the lights the same way as we install on the boats. Our new design will actually run off of triple A batteries, the lights draw so little amperage we can fire a 16' strip with a 9 volt battery (see video- http://www.youtube.com/user/2ndresponder), a small 12 volt deer feeder battery is perfect to run the lights in a yak. The deer feeder battery takes up very little room and will run two of our 39.5" light strips all night on a fully charged battery. Not sure how safe you feel at night with a flashlight battery keeping boats from running over you but these strips you will probably feel a little more comfortable. The lights will stay fired all night its up to you to stay awake the entire time lol. Everyone have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day!
