Ok, Triton owners. Lets forget about your Triton Gold contingency $ and your so called "Driest Ride". Lets talk about the true facts of the construction of a boat.
Everyone knows that most of the top line hulls are made strong and share the most of the same qualities. I know, waa waa waa about the dry rides bull. I have owned 2 different boats and have ridden in all of them so sell it to someone else. Bottom line, the interior of a boat takes the hardest beating by far. Let me start by telling you why I believe that triton DONT measure up with the others. After getting rid of my Ranger (mistake) I bought the Triton and it does ride nice. However, little things started happening as the months went by. 1st, the Carpet has started to come loose in 3 places (2 yrs old). 2nd, have you ever got a hook buried in that FUR they lined the rod bins with (good luck getting that lure out)? 3rd, ever take a wave over the bow and at the end of the ride home, there is still water in the lid wells (no drain holes) Duh! 4th, who's idea was it to put seats (that tear apart in less than 1 year) on a pedestal (get ready to tighten them often)? 5th, lets not forget the cooler lid fastener right in the middle of a stepping surface. These things add up to pain in the A!#@ss issues after a couple of years. I have made mistakes before but never will again with my boats. Ranger all the way.
Make a choice & go with it!

Huh, no problems with my triton doing that. But I did have a skeeter and all kinds of stuff was going wrong. And a buddy has a ranger that is doing exactly what u describe. All boats are not perfect. Its how hard u use em and how well they re taking care of IMO

It is like everything else. The companies want top dollars paid for their boats, but their quality of craftsmanship and parts are POS. Plain and simple, I have seen it in the RV industry also. Cutting corners with cheap material and craftmanship. I have got little pieces of cheap items starting to come off of my Skeeter.

I have a 13 year old Triton with original carpet, and it's not coming apart or tearing loose from the sides anywhere. But I will 2nd your comment about the fur in the rod box. I always stick any rod with a crankbait on top, because those are almost guaranteed to get stuck if you toss them in the bottom.

I have a 17.5 ft Tracker Grizzly, customized a bit, but still w/o all the amenities of the other boats mentioned. I'm happy just to have a bass boat. But If I were in the market for a new fiberglass boat, I'd look at the Pro Gator. I hear they are extremely tough boats.

My next boat will be a Legend if I can ever afford a "new boat". Might have to settle for a "new to me Legend"!
I own a 20' Champion right now and have no complaints, but I sure like those Legends!

Well this is a first. Someone coming on here and saying their boat sucks. Usually, no matter what boat someone owns, it is the fastest, dryest, best fishing boat in existence and everyone should go sell theirs and buy one. Nice to see someone be honest.

Like what was said earlier, all boats have issues. What sets one apart from the other, whether your talking boats, car, RVs, etc.. Is CUSTOMER SERVICE..
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

I have a 10 year old triton and my complaint list is a mile long. However I beat the [censored] out of it and it still runs and looks good.
