Sell or trade your rig for a boat that has a front deck.

I had a 1999 16ft alumacraft/xpress with a 50hp motor and it was great, good ride for a simple boat. I bought mine for like 2300 and sold it to the boat dealer for 2500 he turned around and sold it for 3500. It's a good deal if you can get your money back on it, thats how I've always done business. Bought motorcycles, and I always try to get used items for what I think I can sell it for a year or two down the road. My ninja I sold for exactly what I paid for it, the yamaha dirt bike I bought was the same. Just don't rush into anything and you will be ok. And remember, you can always bargin.

Yes, I sold my 16' xpress for an 18' triton with a 115hp on it. But it cost a lot more than 2500

I have an 82lb thrust TM so no, not too bad. I do wish I had a power pole for when fishing shallow, but yeah you will be on the trolling motor all day in any aluminum boat, it's just a lighter boat.
