 Worm Weight in the KNEE!!

A friend of mine was fishing Sat on Lake Fork and got hung up. When he pulled the hook loose the worm weight went in his knee about an 1". Has anyone ever had that happen to them. He had to get it cut out in the ER and now he is in the Hospital with an infection. Fishing is a CONTACT sport!!

I have heard of people getting them embedded in a hand while trying to sheild from them. They dont call em bullet weights for nothing.

That sucks but if there is a bright side at least it didn't end up a little higher.

He told me that he looked down and all he saw was fishing line sticking out of his knee. Is that wild are what.
