I want to go down for Tailwater's aniversary event on Sat, May 22. So, I'm wondering if there is any interest in having a casting session in McKinney that morning?

Just like the other get togethers that we've had in McKinney in the past, this would be very informal and open to anyone that wants to show up. The location would be Town Lake park on 75.

Here's what I'm thinking, we can set up some targets, tape, etc, for folks to practice casting with. About 9:30 or 10:00 we could have one or two short group casting lesson/demos for anyone that is interested. Then we could have some individual casting help available.

When we start getting hungry, we can head down to Tailwater's and eat lunch somewhere on the way down.

Here's the catch, I won't know if I have a kitchen pass until Monday. So, we'll make a final decision on Monday.

How about it? Is anyone interested?

i have a pass every day. Im in. I had fun last time..... hooked some big fish in the pond that broke me off, after the games, on flies i tied in the parking lot. let me know a date and time.

i can throw in a small sandbass how to thig as well....

OK, I'm back from South Padre Island. There is no fishing reports. I was with the high school band, and someday I may actually catch up on sleep again.

I think we could start about 9 Sat morning, but I may have to leave by 11 to get to Tailwaters before I have to get back home.

We've had quite a few new/beginner fly fishers on the forum recently, I'm surprised we haven't heard from any of them. This would a good opportunity to get some help with casting.
