Played hooky today and left from work early and meet good friend Ruben at the lake around 2:30pm. Headed south an found fish on lower lake humps in 28-31 ft water. Caught a whole bunch of undersized hybrids and good sandies. Moved around the lake a little and went to the peanut, found fish their also. Then we had battery problems�. I think one of my battery cables are bad and not giving the battery a good connection. Switched a trolling motor battery for the starter and we had juice, but now NO TROLLING motor Headed east and found birds and fish working the east shoreline. Caught huge sandies their in 15-10 ft of water. Decided it was time to go and headed back�..MORE BIRDS WORKING around Rob park�. The graph was black. Anyway, 172 fish total, 50 in the cooler and sore arms. This should continue till May. All fish where caught on TNT style slabs and even tried the HUMBUG from www.humdingerlures.com . Water temp was 62 and the wind was blowing kind of hard out of the N and NE. Ruben took some pics with is cell phone, I will post them�.. Because there are some people that think when I post a report that we didn�t really catch that many fish because they didn�t see me And thank you Ruben for a great fishing partner.

Dang, you and Ruben really slayed them today. Nice job. Wished I could have taken off of school to be there. Our boat wouldn't take winds like that anyways. Can't wait till it dies down a little so we can get off of the crappie. Hope the fishing is like that with less wind on the weekend.

I think John got his directions messed up!! We caught fish north of 66 and Rowlett road. Everything today was caught on crank baits and 6" sassy shads.

We still manage to do alright even with mechanical failures. Honestly think we could've got another 50 with a good TM.

Wow, great job John and Ruben! You guys have given me hope! I'm going out tomorrow morning - no trolling motor - and was relinquished into anchoring off Rob Park and hoping to get lucky with some fresh shad. But, you two gentlemen have convinced me to try the East side of the lake - if the wind isn't gail force... Again, great day on the lake, guys! Congrats!!

Good job boys! Had to decide between Hubbard and Texoma yesterday and picked texoma. Did well there as well.
Caught some good fish on Hubbard Sunday morning along 30 on the west side of robertson. Caught big sandies and 6 hybrids up to 4 lbs. Caught all on sassy shad and 4" wildeyes.

GOOD GOING GUYS. I GOT A MESSAGE FROM RUBEN LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON SAYING YA'LL WERE KILLING THE FISH. I WILL BE OUT THERE SATURDAY MORNING, HOPE THEY ARE STILL BITING. GENE

Ruben Im going to go ahead and hit Hubbard on Friday instead of Tawakoni. My B-Day is Thurs the 6th so Friday will be my, all day of Cold Beverages and Fishing. I runoff and left my cell phone at home today, but if you want to go I will there. Call me later if you want.
