i've seen that before. problem is most places we gar fish theres also gators (not just gator gars). no way in h*** you'd ever see me in a float tube around here (although I have one)

Every where Nick and I have fished for gator gar has had a healthy population of alligators, even hooked one a little while back ( whoops ).... So as far as getting in a tube to catch gator.. No thanks

When i lived in Galveston we would take kayaks offshore and hook up with a huge Wahoo or Kingfish and go for a sleigh ride fun.Look up raft fishing miami tournament these guys use giant intertubes and go offshore will try this for sure one day.
