When I'm driving my boat, If I trim down, It squeaks real loud. But just for a second when I start my trim down. Is that something to worry about. It is a new boat and motor. A 2007. Is it my hydrolic fluid level or what?...any answers will be appreciated.

are you sure you dont need to grease your balls?

the little trim rams have a ball at the end of them, where the motor sits on them. trim all the way up and put a dab of bearing grease on em wink

I greased it. I cycled the trim several times. If I trim ALL THE WAY up, it still squeaks when I start down.It mainly does it when I am in the water and moving. The squeak is really quick. It almost sounds like a "BEEP" or possibly an alarm of some kind. I can't tell. I'll keep an ear on it.

there should be a grease fitting for the tilt tube, might need to hit that with a couple shots.

Ok thanks fordnut. If it keeps it up on my next trip out, I'll post again. Thank y'all for the help. This is my first boat, so I am learning my way around it. It is like a newborn baby, everytime it makes a sound, your ears perk up. LOL
