Finally got off the select baseball coaching treadmill long enough to spend a weekend at the lake. Since the big SB tournament is next weekend, I won't divulge my hotspot, but late Saturday afternoon I made my first stop my last as I caught fish there until the dogs and I were tired and thirsty, with magnum sandies and two legal hybrids on green chartreuse/blue slabs, in 13-16 feet of water. The water is quite muddy midlake, and it's like chocolate soup farther north near Don's Port. Sunday afternoon I went back to the same spot and left them biting, but mostly small SB. The fish were top to bottom and surfacing sporadically. Best bait was the green chartreuse tailhummer.
