For the guys that dont make it to the crappie section. Thought some of you might like these. Check out the size of that underwater tree we found. Just got back from the lake for the second time today.  Now for the structure scan shots from today.  Anthony pulled several fish out of this pile. The amazing thing was you could feel those 2 sticks that were standing straight up and then you would drop down and catch a fish (atleast that's how it was working for him)  Here is another corp pile, Pay attention, I even left the coordinates on the screen for you!!! roflmao

I was on Ray Rbts this weekend with newly installed Lowrance Down Structure Scan and WOW, what I can now see below the boat!!!

i have a Lowrance LMS 520, will this unit show this type of info? this boat/fish finder are new to me.

Press menu twice, then system and then overlay data I think. Or it could be the selection right under system.
No, the 520 will only display 2d sonar, those images were with the new HDS 7 and structure scan units.

where can i learn what my 520c is capable of doing? the manual is 252 pages, is there a condensed version somewhere?

what kind of fishing you do? I crappie fish but your more than welcome to go with me sometime and I can show you. I have a 520 on the front of mine which does 2d sonar and gps. And I have the HDS 7 which does the shots you see above.

anytime man, I'll let you know later in the week if I'm gonna be out this weekend or not. I never really know until the night before due to work and family stuff going on.
Only problem is, you will want an HDS and structure scan by the time were done. And thats gonna set you back about $1500.

just want to mention, i caught a $11k sand bass this past Sunday!
$7200. for the boat and $4000. for a motor rebuild!
when i fished as a kid, there were no fish finders, just went to a tree, tied up and waited. modern technology, got to love it.
