I went to Academy to get a fillet knife and picked up a new American Angler fillet knife. Biggest POS I have ever used! What kind of fillet knifes do yall use?
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you!

Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf. You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time.

Get an American Angler Ultra MT3. Best knife there is.

I use two diff. knives. I personally prefer the 4" (or maybe it's 4 1/2") soft-grip rapala for the filleting itself, and switch over to a 7" easy-glide rapala for the skinning job. I just much prefer the control and feel of the 4" for filleting, but need the bigger blade for slicing the skin away.
No fish is too good for the grease.

I use an American Angler that I sharpen.. I like it.
But that is just for kitchen stuff... when I actually filet fish I use my Electric Fisherman.

I have a Mr. Twister saltwalter series. I've been very happy with. Got it at Academy. Supposedly the saltwater series have better electric windings. I had an American Angler rechargable that was a big POS. It would only work on battery power and wouldn't last long. And it wouldn't work while charging/plugged in. I never tried the electric/plug in type.

Wanted to add, my roommate has an Rapala cordless that is really nice. Comes with hard case, 2 batteries, and 2 different blades. Seems to hold a charge pretty good through cleaning a mess o' catfish.

At wal-mart in the cooking section there is one simply called electric knife from Black&Decker I think that cost like $10. Excellent fillet knife as far as I am concerned and great price!
