Saw Pappy out at the lake today, good to meet you in person. I won't tell his fish stories, but I'll tell mine. We caught 6 keepers and probably 10 short fish, all shallow except one. The wind was blowing pretty good, so we didn't try the spot that the guy at the ramp recommended. We did catch one fish in 6 ft off a dock, a spawned out female. Rest were males. Saw a guy with about a 6 1/2 lb bass, he reported catching a few crappie as well.
I really figured they'd be off the shallow brush by now, but looks like there are still some around.

We caught 17 in 2 trips out and many small fish both days. All were still close to if not in the rocks and shallow sticks. Largest one was in 7ft of water or so. Also caught some catfish as well. All on jigs.

I really enjoyed chatting with you,and seeing how excited your son was to get on the water or I'd have talked a little longer it's about time to take my grandsons out we cleaned 28 3 were 14 inches one 16inch I didn't take any pictures though..

We didn't get to go to that spot you said, wind was blowing more than I liked, and we were jig fishing. Will show up there soon with some minners though

Me and flash are going to hit the lake Friday and stay all weekend in a camper. We are hopin to run jugs and trotlines and just maybe beat the new lake record. Last weekend we put 17 nice slabs and 15 blues in the boat on sat.

Was that the camper parked out on the point at Yaw/Blackfoot Rd?
Had a pontoon tied off etc ?
