Bellville Saddle Shop sells live minnows. Might be a little too far for you to drive though.

there's a gander mountain at 290 and hwy 6...a little closer than sugarland.

Thanks all, only reason Sugarland's too far is that I don't know where to fish down that way.
Posted a msg about Lake Texana but didn't get far, so I've been going north to Somerville.
AggieBrandon, do you know what time they open?

8am...if you're going to somerville, there are plenty of bait shops that sell there. I always get mine at big creek marina when I can't catch shad.

Yeah, I fish Big Creek & get minnows there. Looking to get some the night so I can start fishing right away instead of waiting for the crowds to pay 1st.

yup that would be it. they are open from 8a-5p I believe Monday-Friday and on Saturday they are open til around noon I think.
