yeah yesterday evening was really nice on the lake hardly any winds and the water was smooth just wished the fish were biteing

I got skunked on croppie so I paddled over to my closest sand bass spot and got 10 keepers. They were biting good but too many of them were smallish. The wind was only about 5mph. Too many jetskiers tho. lol

yeah the jetskiers and other speed boats were pretty bad yesterday

If the weather stinks on Saturday and we can't fish who wants to meet up at the Oasis and have a burger and shoot the, well? The Poolies used to do this back in the day.

Hey guys wanted to give you all a report for 5/13, I hit the lake around 1pm and stayed out until a little after 1 am on 5/14 minus a lunch break between 3-5pm. It was one of the worst days I have had yet on the water since last October. My best friend and I really tried everything we could think of we hit the flats, firemans, and the area across from the marina, and under the bridge area. We slabbed and used tailspinners, and even live shad it was just one of those days. Everything we did just did not seem to work for us, as we got past 10pm we finally caught a handful of sandies near the bridges under the lights using small white crappie jigs. I will hit the water again this weekend if the weather breaks otherwise it will be next week. I hope you guys have better luck than my friend and I did yesterday. Hey Hal if I had the money to eat lunch with you guys tomorrow I would certainly take you up on that offer, I bet there will be plenty of good ole "fish tales" being told!

Based on JPW's reports I might have some work to do but I plan on hitting crappie round daybreak then goggling for birds in the specs.

BTW, my Saturday trip cancelled due to family emergency so I get to fish for my freezer.

went out wed eve found tons of fish only about ten bites, no fish until about right before dark when they where schooling out in front of lynn creek park, the last loop in the park. this time of year is weird. last year at this time i could not find them until this spring. Fished live bait until they started schooling then they hit anything. ARE THEY SHUTTING DOWN?

I don't think so bubbaj115 I think this weather (the entire year) has them thrown off. I wish I knew why the fish havn't been biting like they should, but isn't that part of "fishing"? Hey Howell I will be there with the boat in tow, we should hit the water after lunch.
