I lost my grandfather a few years back but I would have to say that he was the person that really got me hooked on fishing. As a child I remember watching Dance/Houston with him then going out and practicing what we learned. Thank goodness he put a fishing pole in my hand rather than a video game controller!

Grandfather. We would show up for a weekend visit or during the summer for a weeks stay and the truck would be loaded with all the fishing gear. Went fishing for everything. Perch, bass, catfish, carp, buffalo, gar, gasper goo. He showed us how to catch it all.

To this day I still relish the memories.

I would say my Father and Grandfather both, I was in the boat at the age of 3 and still love every minute of it!

my dad, and great uncle wayne. the weekend fishing trips to uncle waynes honey holes will never be forgotten. i learned alot about fishing and life on those trips. and now i get to pass it on to my boy.

My Dad. He had me in the boat from the time I was 2. I had many sleepless nights b/c he always said he would only wake me up once in the morning, I am sure he would have, but he never had to get me twice. I was always ready to go.

Pa (grandfather) he grew up during the depression hunted, trapped, and fished for money and food to help feed his 7 brothers and sisters. That man lived in the woods till he died at 98 sittin with his shotgun across his lap underneath the oldest oak tree in the county.

well, that credit goes to my grandfather. started with the usual panfish and led all the way to the largemouth. also have to give a lot of credit to my grandmother for staying up late with me playing games because i was too excited to sleep.

dad... lake benbrook. late 70's. i was 3 years old and casting rattletraps to schooling bass.. LOL! before i could walk, they had me in the boat and i just played in the big ol livewell all day long... LOL! think he had a skeeter metro back then. blue/white stripe.

i have to admit i was not into bass fishin until i got up here to dallas.... i worked with a fellow TFFer goes by Jigfish1... he is to blame!
