Fished early on Friday. The weather was really nice and cool early but got hot later. I broke my cardinal rule of fishing..never leave fish to find fish... On them early (6:15)in 25 ft of water south of the 309 flats. There is a drop off going to 45 ft. Nice size sandies mixed with small yellows. Left there to look for larger fish and never found them. We used white and candy green Humdingers, casted and jigged. The ramp at Fishermans Point is still good. They have dredged out the channel to the lake where the old tank dam was. The ramp is a little steep so loading can be difficult. Make sure you trim your motor up as high as you can and "jump" it on the trailer. The left side is best but the right side works. Just be cognizant of a few stumps under the water on that side. Noticed several trucks really SMOKING the tires to get up the ramp. My F150, in low gear, had no problems. He has extended his courtesy dock out several feet, so loading/unloading is much better. Stay cool and good fishing, Capt. Rick
