Went down yesterday after noon they stopped letting water out yesterday morning. The river looked great. Will be down there satruday morning it should be good, thunder stroms will not hit till late Saturday.

I'll have to go down there & see the river at normal level if it still is. I havent seen it normal for months. We had some pretty good wind blowing & a little lighting with pretty heavy rain here. chance of rain today/sat/sunday

It's going again. Gauge @ 10 ft around 3:00 w/about 2000 CFS coming out. GEEZ!!!!

the only way its going to stop is when it doesnt rain for a long time. We got a lot of rain up here in Dallas so Im sure its going to flood.

They opened the gates last night at midnight, I am at Dicks bed and breakfast right now and there is 13,000 cfs right now. I guess there is always next time.

One good thing about the high water and rains.. it helps end the Golden Algae cycle.. kind of like flushing a toilet.

This was 13,000 CFS's Saturday May 15 at the Lake Whitney dam. The normal river channel is on the other side of the trees in the middle of the photo.

For comparison here it is at 3000cfs back on May 3. I'd probably paddle it at 3k, 13k not. Paddled below PK at 8700, not too bad a boat ride but the fishing was lousy.
