Anyone fished Denton creek since Sunday. Or should I ask if anyone would tell us whether they caught anything, because I know at least 50 people per day have fished it.

Fishing was good on Sunday as well. No real rain since Saturday and it does more bad than good. Was so muddy last week after the rain you had to put your bait right in front of a fish to get a bite. Seems to get real muddy with any rain, but settles in a few days. Would like to get out there tommorow before the cold weather gives them lock jaw.

Little front came thru yesterday and another front is supposed to kick off storms on friday and cool things off. Can be terrible for the fishing. This year the weather has made the run up and down. Never really exploded like years past.

I've seen four-wheelers in there but unknown what will happen if you get caught since the land belongs to the Corp of Engineers and they don't allow them on Corp property unless it's a designated area and that is not one.

There isn't a good way to get a 4 wheeler past the gate. I also know that the local land owners have been calling the cops. Evidentally they aren't fishermen, and consider us a nuisance.
This is coming from a bunch of people charging way too much money to let people play paintball on their land.
Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity. Patton

Still looking for any info on Denton creek since Sunday. Tried to go late yesterday but got started too late and had to waste some time on Grapevine since you can't get into Marshall Creek to launch very late. By the way anybody know exactly what time they are closing the gates these days.

Thanks Chaser I grew impatient and called the park and it is 6-6 until April 7th and it will be 6-8 for the summer instead of 6-9 like it has been in the past. They also have raised the ramp fee to $3 since Trophy Club leased the park. Lake Grapevine Corp ramps are still free for now. Still would like to here any reports about fishing this past week. No news is not always good news.

A friend and I went out yesterday afternoon from 1:30 - 5:00 and did not catch a thing. However we fished around a couple of guys that were doing real well, one was using a white jig with a white grub, and the other was using a rapala. This was in the area that I believe they call the pools, I had not gone this far west before, it was suppose to be at least a mile or so down stream from Henrietta Hole. Most of the people we talked with said the afternoon bite turned on between 4:00 and 4:30. I hope to get some time this weekend to try again.
