We need a State border patrol who will enforce things. The U.S. Border Patrol is under the umbrella of the US, and I guarantee you Obama ain't going to do a darn thing. In fact, I believe he want's them over here. Besides the border patrol is spread too thin anyways. Texas needs to take this [censored] into their own hands before WE have too! It's a matter of time. There have always been desporados in that part of the country, so just be packin!
Don't put yourself into a situation where you don't have a way out, and just be aware of what's going on around you!
An unplugged shotgun with an assortment of buckshot and slugs will fit nicely into a rod box.

I wasn't on Amistad, but rather on the lower pecos (awesome spot by the way) about three weeks ago and we only saw about 3 other boats the whole time (all American). Probably the scariest thing we saw was an owl that came down to pick up some dinner right in front of our camp one night. Well, more AWESOME than scary really...I did have some reservations about going up there especially since that area of the lower pecos isn't really patrolled and buts right up to the Mexican border, but we had no problems whatsoever. Even had my 5yr old son out there.
