How hard would it be to convert a pull start to an electric start? And how much would it cost?.. On a 20 hp I think it's a 75 yr model chrysler out board...

I like fishing, I like hunting and
my wife doesn't give me any grief when i do either one.
How cool is that!

Probably pretty difficult, need a starter, wiring, mounts. May be done but not something I would want to try.

Not to be smart here. But. More than what the engine is worth. THE only way that it can be done in any kind of cost effectness is to buy used parts from a pick-n-pull. Then expect at least a couple of hundred dollars, if you're lucky.

A different engine is the way to go. They are out there, far and few between. Be ready to run, if one comes available, and have cash in hand. Then once the engine proves itself, sell you old one.
