I probably do the opposite. If I get bit once early, you will have a hard time prying from my hand. On the plus side the bites I do get later in the day are usually bigger fish and more explosive. After youve gone a few hours without a bite and one blasts it, it will scare the carp out of you.

Your right.......bright sunshine days are PERFECT conditions for a topwater all day!

Let me know how many tournaments you win with that pattern!

I was just kidding with ya but since you brought it up I can think of at least 10 to 15 of the top of my head. I sure I can think of a lot more if I dig a little.

I'm terrible with topwaters, I just don't know when to use what when. Size, popper vs. walker etc..

Ironically topwater is what got me addicted to bass fishing in the first place, lol, go figure.

I was a kid sitting on the end of the pier with my bobber and worm catching brim. This older kid (teenager) comes walking down the walkway and starts throwing a lucky 13 down the shoreline. I set my rod down and went over to watch him fascinated with how he was fishing. About 5 minutes later a nice bass blows up on that lucky 13. I bugged my dad for weeks that I 'needed' that lure. I've been broke ever since wink

I might could believe that on a frog, but if your talkin about throwing some other topwater on a bright sun shine day in the middle of the day I am going to call BS on that! That pattern is waaaaay to inconsistent for one person to win that many tournments on a pattern like that. Heck......thats a ton of wins for anyone, much less on that type of pattern. Maybe club tournaments but you aint going to win that many fishing against the big dogs doing that!

Just sayin!

Ok Im not gonna get in a pissn match with ya. But I almost won a divisional championship throwing a buzzbait all day (boat broke down the final day and cost me). The guy that won it was throwing a frog all day. Got to that championship throwing a yellow magic all day on Rayburn. Ive got more but Ill leave it at that. And as for winning club tournaments, join mine and we'll see how well you do. Its H.O.T Bass Assassins and were meeting tonight although you cant fish till next month per our rules. BTW in case you didnt get it the first time I WAS JUST JOKING. But I guess you know more about what fish think than I do. Just saying. Im out before this gets ugly. Night everyone
