Center Point Station in San Marcos.... I-35 and Center Point Rd. Huge Juicy Burgers. Even got one that has a pound of beef on it. Great malts n shakes. Neat-O ol'-time gas station decor too. So fellas, if your lady drags ya to the outlet mall ... at least ya got something to look forward too. Oh yeah, and there's an almost new Academy store just a half mile up the 35 frontage road. YeeeHaaaw!

I grew up in the Denton area and DIH was awsome (hickory burger) back in the day (91-95). I ate at the one on the square about 2 months ago and sadly I'ts not the same as it used to be.

Went on a mission awhile back with a certified Know-it-all. Big ol' fat boy that liked his burgers. here's the list:

Dutch's- FW
Angry Dog- Deep Elum - Dallas
5 Guys - Galleria
Twisted Root - Deep ellum
Jake's - Dallas
Keller's - Dallas
Hole in the wall- Harry Hines (and various locations outside of Dallas)
Lonesome Dove - Stock Yards - FW
Charlies - Granbury Road - FW
Clown burger - FW (re-opened)
Snuffers - lower greenville- Dallas
Fred's - Fw

and last but not least...

Lita's - FW stockyards. Lita's closed about 5 years back. She was well into her 90's when she finally passed away. Cooked every burger in a cast iron skillet. Wow! You'd walk out sticky from all the grease on the walls but daaayum they were good!

STORMS in Hamilton or in Lampassas both are some of the greaseast tastiest burgers. Chris Madrids in San Antonio.

Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

I assume you have not had a Herd's Burger. The Double Double melts in your mouth. Nothing fancy just quality meat, standard bun and gooey melted cheese. Try one and you will see. If you don't like it, you may be a communist flehan

I've had more than a few as I worked in Jacksboro for a few years. Its an OK burger I guess and I ate there cause your choices are so limited in that town. Herd's, the Green Frog and Dairyland are WAY overrated. Not a communist just calling it as I see it.

The Love Shack in the 'yards, FW. Somebody already mentioned Lonesome Dove down there. Same guy (Tim Love) owns the Love Shack too.

And every now and again I get a uncontrolable urge for an olive burger from Burger Street in Arlington on S. Copper.

Burger Bar in down town Cleburne. Small joint, right by the court house. I always hit it on my way back from the Nolan River during the sand bass run.

Has anybody ever tried the Burger Box in Kennedale? I noticed it when I was driving out to that town pond to fish for trout this winter. Looks like it might be a good little local joint...
