I know "we", as Texan grillmasters, make the best hamburgers around, but I'd like to hear from you as to where the best (restaurant) hamburgers in Texas can be found.
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Several good burgers here in Nac. Butcher Boys, Clear Springs, and Mr. Will's all make a pretty darn good hamburger. Lots of great choices all over Texas. I believe The Grape in Dallas won Texas Monthly's poll, but I disagree. What does a wine bar know about burgers?

If you're in the area you gotta try the curve inn, hand made burgers with all the fixins in a little dive building, just south of sam marcos off the 35, take york creek exit and head west you cant miss it just before you cross the train tracks.

Gotta give a vote for the original location of Charcoal House out in Texas. Little tiny place, drive through and walk up only, no tables or chairs. GREAT burgers.
Also would vote for a marina Restuarant out in Lake Fork, just up the road from Emory. I don't remember the name of it ( Maybe Lake Fork Marina? Lol. ) But if you take 515 out of Emory, and then take 2946, you'll go across two bridges...And just past the longer of the two bridges on the left there's a small marina and restuarant.
WOW! Their burgers are incredible. I eat there every time I head out that way to fish my buddie's family place.

Little Red Wagon in ROund ROck off of Hwy 79. Double meat double cheese, fries or onion rings, and a drink for 4.79!!!! Insanely good.
Pappas Burgers in Houston (Westheimer/Fountainview-ish)- pricey but delicious.

Here's my list: DFW: Kincaid - FW store RG Burger - Denton Twisted Root - Dallas Jake's - Dallas Kelly's Eastside - Plano Snuffer's Green Chili burger - Dallas Note: I've not tried Wingfields yet - http://dallas.citysearch.com/profile/9608524/dallas_tx/wingfield_s_breakfast_burger.html ) Texas: Cliff's - Houston ( off fountain view/San Felipe ) Dixie Maid - Atlanta Texas Dirty's - Austin Kincaid's - Fort Worth This has been a personal quest of mine for the past 20 years. I've tried many of the places most people consider "good"; dairyette, keller's, Pappa's, Butcher Boy's, Burger House, to name a few....

The original Kinkaids is great, BUT, do not go to the one in arlington. Crappy service... I could teach those girls a thing or two, and the burgers aren't as good.

It's always hard to duplicate a great thing. In Tulsa we had Goldies. best burgers around until they branched out. They suck now. same thing is happening to Tommy's.

It's always hard to duplicate a great thing. In Tulsa we had Goldies. best burgers around until they branched out. They suck now. same thing is happening to Tommy's. The problem is they don't understand what makes a GREAT place to eat. Hiring any Joebob off the street as your cook, and trying to teach him how to make a good burger or whatever won't work. You need a chef with some passion for what he does. That's why the mom and pop places are so much better than any chain. You have people who heard from friends too much "Dayyum this is good! you oughta open your own restaurant!!!" Instead you have a schmuck just churning out carp cause that's the job he can get.
