My son and I fished Lewisville this afternoon from 3pm - 8:15pm.
We started at Deadman's, and caught one small hybrid in 31' water. I had several VERY light bumps here, but couldn't hook 'em. We ran into Drew, a friend of "Fishing with Kids" there. Drew had a Ranger boat, 200HP engine, and a trophy girlfriend sporting her spring bikini. You see Drew, when you drifted in close and apologized, I wasn't the least bit bothered, as I was admiring your boat!
We ventured off to the old cut-through and caught a couple on the NE side of the cut.
We then cruised by and didn't stop at twin trees, the 121 cut, the tribute, and back to Hidden Cove Park. Twin Trees was just too crazy to stop at with all the boats going home. Two cigar boats spooked us pretty good.
Back by hidden cove park, we found some very small sandies feeding on top on the north shore in 5 - 8 feet of water. We probably caught 15 - 20 sandies, but only kept three. For my son, this action made up for our slow fishing the rest of the time.
We finally called it quits at 8:15.
Fish were caught on white or silver humdingers, and also on simple white crappie jigs (doll flies).
