the bite on a HOLLOWELL Jig is totally amazing and unlike anything in this world. You can only buy these online at www.hollowelljigs.com but his website isn't up yet. ..........

The only jig fish I have caught have come on jig heads with craw imitators (rage craws, brush hogs) and I just started to fish them this year. They truly do get bigger fish but it takes patience a plenty. All the above mentioned tactics will work but you gotta put in the time. Good luck!

Little advice old neighbor gave to me. Go down to a creek and find some crawdads during the daylight.(helps if you have a clearer creek) Take your pole with a jig and trailer and mimick what the crawdads do and watch how jig works. Most of the time you will have to kick up some rocks and kind shuffle them around. You will see how fast a crawdad can actually get from point a to point b as well.

TheShafer, if you are ever over in the Tyler area swing by Black Angel Jigs (between Whitehouse and Bullard) and talk to Gabe. I had never tossed a jig before I met him and now I keep one tied on constantly. Still learning it and all the different places and presentations! He also has some good videos on youtube and his website...
