Which bridge are folks finding them at? The Kilo's bridge or the one farther in the wet side?
Can you just go anywhere on those bridges and get 'em? Is there some timber back there?
We got a small boat with a 20 horse and got to choose between launching at the Kilo's bridge or the one on the wet county side. When we launch we will be pretty much committing to one bridge or the other for a day, with a little roaming off the bridge and into docks/etc that are close by.

Tomorrow and Wed, I'd keep that boat away from the 155 bridge. Wind gusts to 30 tomorrow and 25 on Wed. Go a little farther South to the last bridge and either launch at the North end of the bridge at the Lake Palestine Motel ramp or on the South end of the bridge at Lake Palestine Campground. Then you can fish both small bridges, 16-18 fow timber on the West side of the hwy. or the old roadbed on the East side of the hwy. Hope this helps.

Thanks Pepop, my day off is tomorrow, so it is either then or wait til next week. I might decide to fight the wind or just go out to 315 and park at the old roadbed and walk up and down it with a jig. I caught quite a few on that one, but they are usually small.

I've heard that launching at the Resort (The Warf) in the very back of Saline and easing out towards the bank along Enerald Bay, shooting those docks has been paying off lately. That works if the wind is S.E. but if it's S.W., it can get rough there. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Or put in at the little ramp in Chimney creek and go up under the bridge. you will be out of the waves, not the wind, but you won't have to worry about big waves. Fish the timber you see sticking up and the ones you don't see that you bump into. If your in a small boat, DON'T TRY TO FISH THE BIG BRIDGE WITH THIS HIGH WIND. Even a big boat can't fish it in this wind. A big boat will get you there but you still can't fish it.

I come from Tyler, if you just tell me what road it is on and some landmarks for turning, that would be awesome.

On 155, go to the Brookshire's at 155 & 344 and turn left. Follow 344 all the way to Teasleville and 346, turn right. Follow 346 to Chimney Cove, cross the bridge and turn right on C.R. 3504. the ramp is about 75 yards on your right.

69S to Bullard, to 344 to Teaselville, Left on 346, cross Chimney creek and take a left on CR 3504, ramp is just a couple hundred yards on your right, you will need to make a U turn and come back to back in, then just park on the side of the road. I know for a fact from a very reliable source that you can catch a few doing what I said around the stumps. Throw a roadrunner out, let it go to the bottom and work in slow. Fish a jig straight down beside the stumps or a minner if ya like. If its tough the minners might get ya more bites. I fish jigs, but that just what I like.
