The lake is starting to clear up a little bit. Not fast enough, but it is a little better. We are actually a few inches low. Can you believe that
Fishing the last week has been really good, except one day they just didn't eat.
There are so many different patterns working right now. We still have fish spawning, we have a lot of fish post spawn, and caught a couple this week that hadn't moved up yet. We caught fish this week on shaky heads, DD 22's, traps, flukes, carolina rigs, swimbaits, frogs, and assorted texas rigs. I guess that is the tackle box pattern. Almost all of the bigger fish however have come on carolina rigs, jigs, and traps. They have been our post spawn fish. We have fished a lot of points, and secondary points this week. If it has some kind of rock it helps. I do love May and June.
Here are a few pics from this week. John made it on here twice. He fished Tuesday in the fog with me and Saturday with his buddy Billy from Houston. Billy started out kicking his butt Saturday morning but John made a huge comback with a 9lb 6oz beauty he got on a carolina rig. Wow!!!
I still have a few dates left in May. The 24th, 25th, 26th and the morning of the 29th.
