I would go back to school and get a degree, find a good job and then let the fishing fall in place. If I was 20 again. Its tough out there, find a stable job, fishing is very expensive starting out,so yo need a good job first. I hope you do well, good luck

First off try to make as much money as you can.
Own your own business! or work for family!
Salemen have alot of free time.
Don't have kids for awhile.
Try not to get married! LOL!
Best of luck!

All good advice .... but seriously .... get your degree, start making friendships within the business, always be professional, step up your sales ability, fish as many different types of water as you can, keep logs, etc. etc.

I would get a degree, get a job. Start fishing local stuff, and then move on to fishing the BFL, Opens, FLW American, etc. When you start proving yourself there, you can make the decision to try for more. Make sure you save as much as possible. And don't get married.

Join the military. Save all the money you can over the four year period. You get thirty days off a year so use that time to fish some of the BASS Opens and FLW Stren Series as a co-angler, just to get a feel of it while saving most of your money. Once your service is up you will be 24 and still young for a professional angler. Use the money saved to fish the Opens as a boater and hopefully end up in the money a few times, then eventually qualify for the Elite Series. Just my two cents.

i am 24 and want the same thing, what i do is fish everything i can afford to, do any work that pays, and try to learn spmething everytime i fish, i have fished the BFL for the last couple years won 2 of them have i think 7 top 10's and will be going to the BFL All American in a couple weeks, i plan to fish the American Fishing Series on the boater side next year and fish the FLW Tour on the co-angler side. I highly suggest fishing every local tourny you can and fish the BFL next year. I think that once you draw checks in most the events you fish then you are ready for the next level up and so on, but i would start at the local level. I have been fortunate enough to draw a check in all but 2 local events i have fished and that is out of probably 40 or a couple more
