The pressures of fishing for a living can reflect ones personality. Besides, I don’t think you get a pay check for personality. You can’t judge a person with one contact.jmho.

if u see him in a relaxed atmosphere, like with zona on wgf, he seems to have a good personality and a good guy to hang with.

Loved him in Blood Sport, after that they all seemed to kinda blend together, kind of hard to do action movies with kung fu stuff and keep them all different.
Time cop was cool!

Yea, those guys are so focused. It would be tough trying to concentrate on something, and have EVERY guy in a place wanting to shoot the bull with you and be buddies. I have noticed that with other celebrities. You just have to hit them at the right time and place. KVD isnt who he is because he makes everyone like him. Bass fishing tourneys arent politically driven, they are merit only. Any pro angler can win a popularity contest among other bass fisherman if they want to bad enough, but if they aren't producing at the scales, then it is all for not. Personally, I think he seems like a pretty nice fellow. He seems to handle the pressure well. I mean he is "expected" to win or place in the top EVERY tournament. He's KVD. Thats a lot of pressure! There is also a lot of sponsor money riding on his success.

As others have said Kevin is a great guy, very humble and always focused when it comes to fishing. By the end of his career he will be known as the best fisherman to ever fish BASS ( if her is not already). Payton Manning, Tiger Woods great. Also as with these two guys he is the fans favorite so there is always added attention on him from the fans. At the 2009 Bassmaster Classic Expo the line to meet him was three times longer than any other line in the entire expo so I can understand why he's not as fond to meeting with fans all the time as other anglers are.
