I was wanting to hit up the Navasota River tomorrow at the 164 bridge. Are they north or south and how far in either direction? Does the front have 'em screwed up? Rooster tails, small rattle traps, whats the key? I really appreciate any help.

Wish I could help. We went yesterday and caught 1 in about 5 hours. The front has them messed up. Everyone we talked to said the same thing: slow. Good luck!

I put in at the 164 bridge and fished my way upstream. The best areas that I found to catch them is where the river narrowed, and the water was flowing. Around islands or brush that was obstructing the flow of the water. I also caught some while traveling upstream by trolling. Used roadrunners, rooster tails and small spinner baits. I don't know if they're still up in the numbers that they were, but good luck.
