skeet had a 7 pound lead over second place... thats "owning" the field, if you ask me at that level, thats crazy good!

I like both anglers also but from watching the weigh in and hearing what Reese said about picking up the jig on the final day and catching fish on a spot that Hite was fishing throughout the tournament just did not set right with me. You could also hear in Hite's voice that he was not completely happy with it. I am not trying to stir anything up but if you go to ESPN3 and watch the replay of the last two anglers you might form the same opinion.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Skeet surmised that Hite was catching them on the mop jig because he had done that before. No harm in trying them same bait. Might work, might not.

Skeet never indicated that he knew the spot he caught them off was being fished by Hite. He just knew that Hite fished it real soon after today.

It's not like he raced him off the dock to beat him there, which happens all the time in local tournaments. He fished it later in the day. If it was such a good spot Hite should have managed it better and fished it earlier. He can't expect to reserve the whole lake.

They always find some common water. Skeet likely could have found it in practice. I watched the weigh in on ESPN3, I can't remember anyone saying he saw Hite there before he fished it.

yeah he really is an animal if he caught his winning sack by copying what someone else did. I wonder if that is how he normally does it, just try to find out what every one is being successful on, and then beat them to their spot?

Skeet is obviously a great angler but i can see how people will take what he said wrong, I don't think anyone will say that he isn't great, but when he said what he said it did kinda rub me wrong too

Yeah, that's why he won the other tournament by 15 lbs throwing a swimbait when everybody else was bed fishing. He's the most versatile and dominant fisherman out there right now and people are starting to get jealous. I'm guessing you guys that are griping about him wouldn't go throw a bait that you know some other guy is catching em on? Or wouldn't hit a community hole during a tournament that probably tons of guys fished as long as nobody else is fishing it at the time?

Just because you have a man crush on someone does not mean they are the best. Since the "best" is given the most money at each tournament, then the best would be the one who has won the most money. Since they all have good weeks and bad weeks and good years and bad years, I'd say the one who has won the most money 'per tournament' is the best. And who is is that?
