I'm wanting to purchase a 3-bank charger & was wondering, what brand to get? I've looked at a Guest but it only has 4' leads, I would have to add 2'to 8' to these leads to reach each battery. Do you know if this will effect its chargeing performance? Thanks

Don't know about Guest, but I do know that on Dual Pro chargers, there is a temperature sensing device in the leads and if you want to extend them you must obtain the extension from Dual Pro, otherwise the charger will not function correctly.
Whatever brand you decide to purchase, I'd be sure to contact their customer support beforehand and ask about lead extensions.

minnkota...measure from the boat where you are most likey to moount the charger. You may need the extention cable and save you an extra trip to the store.

Do you leave the dual pro hooked up and on all the time? I had mine on a timer but when it would come on it stayed charging for 3 or 4 hours. Is it still charging in float mode?

I have mine plugged into a timer as well. I always plug it in and fully charge the batt's after a trip to the lake then put it on a 24hr timer set to come on for 2 hours per day. I've got it set to come on at 6pm and off at 8pm and have checked it on occasion and they were hot. These are new as I bought them last month so take that into consideration also.
