jack-plate height will play a role in the psi, but mine is just under 20

Mercury is a low pressure system 3-5psi at idle and 12-15psi at 5000rpm. They will pulse at pee stream at idle because of poppet assembly.

Poppet assembly is a spring loaded valve that is designed to force water at 12-15psi to the top of the motor.

I would like to see you around 20psi on that motor. When was the last time water pump was changed?
