There are some really nice folks who live on Cedar Creek, and today I met another one. Started out fishing the dam for hybrids. Nerver saw one surface, nor did I catch any. Unfortunately, no one else was catching any either.
Moved next to the stretch from Crappie Island to Pinnacle Club and picked up one sandbass. Four hours of fishing with one fish, pretty bad.
Moved next to mid lake humps. Threw everything in the tackle box and couldn't catch a thing. Another fellow by the name of Dennis C. saw me and motioned me over. He had two markers out and told me to fish between them and I would pick up some sandies. Well, I did, and still couldn't get a hit. Dennis was pulling them in every other cast. I asked him what he was using and he told me. Naturally, I didn't have one so I fished with the closest thing I had. Third cast, I picked up an 11 1/2 lb. catfish. Still couldn't get a sandy. Dennis asked me if I would like one of his baits. I tied it on and over the next few minutes caught six nice sandies before it was time to leave.
I know we all run into some not so nice fisherman and boaters from time to time, but folks like Dennis restore one's faith that there are some super good guys out there also. Dennis, don't know if you read this forum or not, but if you do, thanks again!

I wavied many a folk over at CC, gave away slabs and hell pets...especially to guys with kids in the boats. Never really had a problem with other anglers on CC...always a great group of fisherman.....now the lake lice...that is another story.
It is folks like, Dennis....who make others go back to a lake like CC. I miss guiding over there for that reason alone!

Hey Carl,were you in a G3 boat?If so we were drifting for cats behind you and saw you land that big fish.

We were in a 21ft.fishmaster.Randy saw all that activity on the bottom and we couldnt pass up dragging a shad through it.At first we thought you had a big hybrid on.
