Got on the water around noon. I headed over to a hump near the new bass pro shops. Fished there for the next 3 hours. Probably caught about 100 fish with many 8-9 inch sandies. I did catch several nice keepers though. I also caught 5 under size hybrids and a 3 lb largemouth (still swimming). All fish were caught on slabs off the bottom. The bigger fish came from 20-23ft deep water on the edge of the hump. Smaller fish were on top of the hump (14-15ft).
The law was out in force today. TPWD, Dallas PD and Fire were out on the lake. I saw 3 different boats. One cruised by really close to check registration.
One last thing... Is it just me or do some people have NO manners! Had another boat come up on me while fishing. He tossed out the anchor no more than 10 feet from me and proceeded to start fishing. While I know its a public lake...Cmon! 10 feet!?!

Yep, weekend fishing at Hubbard only gets good after deer season opens up..
Religion is a guy in church thinking about fishing. Relationship is a guy fishing thinking about God!

Nice work, I fishing in the AM with Ruben, but no luck. We wore them out Friday AM. You get this kind response all week long on Hubbard. Had to remind a fellow TFF on friday not to run the big engine in 6 ft of water while we wre catching fish.
His response was his trolling motor was not charged up??? Not my problem!
Good Luck

Good job as usual Eric, but you might wanna check those two bigger fish at the top of the heap there.
they sure DO NOT look like sandies, though i have been wrong before. They are probably hybrids but that sleek "torpedo" shape almost makes em look like pure stripers!
Nice haul and sorry about the winners of the Miss Manners Courtesy Contest!

No doubt that the fish in the upper right is a hybrid. I have seen a hundred just like it this year and those stripes give it away.
