I have been trying to get in touch with him for two months, no luck. I think a big ole CC Hybrid must have swallowed him up whole!
Might have to change his name to Johna....

Sorry Guys,

I've been going thru some pretty rough personal stuff and mostly been going to shows - like the one coming up this next weekend. I am also chasing catfish on Cedar Creek. I had a really great trip this last Saturday with Chris Watkins of Phins and Pheathers Guide Service. We had 3 customers per boat and between the 2 boats we caught 56 Blues, 2 Channels and 1 White Bass. They really enjoyed themselves and had a great time. I will start reporting again on a regular basis after this last show and I look forward to fishing with any of you. Sorry JD, I'll call you soon my friend. Don't worry Don we'll get back out soon as well. I am looking forward to fishing with you Sharon, it will be great!

Omar

Omar,
Glad to hear you are still out there, I was beginning to wonder. I would like to get some of that catfish action. I think I can get a group together if you can let me know what your schedule looks like. Give me a shout and lets go fishin!

John,
No, not exactly. I leave again on Monday for another week in CT. I will be up there off and on for the next 5 months, but when I'm home I expect to be fishing with you guys somewhere, catching something and telling lies about anything. Lets go Redfishin! Its almost time for a Redfish Rodeo. Omar, do you got guts enough to come to Waco and tackle "Trading house"? Well do ya??? I'll even let you fish out of my boat, you can even run the troll motor (some)! Where else are you going to get an offer like that. I will even sponser a fish fry afterwards! What about it guys anybody feeling froggy? Steve, any room on your calendar? Redfin, I don't even have to ask if you'll show. You can hear them calling your name now. John, do you need a mate for that mount you got last time? Who else out there is interested???????

JD, A "Redfish Rodeo" sounds very interesting. Ive never been on TH but would like to give it a try. My bud Omar says good things about you. If you have room count me in. Would help sponsor the fish fry. When you have a day let me know. THANKS Don

Don It got the name "Redfish Rodeo" last year about this time, maybe a little later, but none the less, when we got together to fish Trading house. Redfin, Varner, and Bradbury came down from Yankee land (north of Hillsboro) and met up with me and my oldest son Josh. It was so windy that we were two, of only three boats on the lake. The third was a man and his wife who ran in to some mechanical difficulties (no gas) and got blown up in the grass across the lake from the ramp. We saw the waving a flag for help. We were trolling DD22 and hellbenders and when I cut across Redfins path to go help the stranded boat out, I drug our baits across the middle of their boat. By the grace of God I didn't hook anyone, although I'll bet Varner would put up one hell of a fight on medium heavy tackle. Anyway when we got to the stranded boat and tried to throw them a rope in all that wind, we got tangled up in our own rope and almost got stuck ourselves. Long story short, It was a Rodeo before we got everyone back to the ramp. Josh caught the only fish and won braggin rights until later in the year at the Fall rodeo when Varner took the crown with the new rodeo record. I thought we could add a fish fry this year so the rest of us could at least touch some fish that day! Omar was supossed to come on the second trip but had to back out at the last min. to take someone fishing. I thought if I through in a free boat ride and a fish dinner I may be able to get a commitment from him, we'll see. To answer your question, I'll make room for you, so I'll keep you posted If I can get anyone interested.

I may have to post this under its own topic. All the Redfish Rednecks may not see this post.
