How far are you willing to drive?

Firewheel Golf Course isn't too far from Wylie and the fishing is good there, really good.

Ya might try Lake Lavon.. Some pretty good fishing going on there and not too much concern about trespassing. I fish it alot.

I live in Wylie,There a Rowlett community pond in the back of Waterview (golf neighborhood).Ive havent fished it myself,I should...Its only 3 minutes from the house,lol...but its a good, good size pond with two piers, and Ive seen people pull bass, gills, and perch out...Really nice park and never crowded..Ive seen some healthy bass bust the top.
Ill be on it alot this summer testing rods out.
I know of some other spots..I have a secret pond feed by Hubbard..Its small, but plentiful....Weve caught everything from 3lb bass to 26'' bowfins...more gills than you can eat, crappie, and channels
Hit me up and Ill see if I can give you directions
