Just like it says above what are the best scales for culling that won't break after a couple of uses? Tournament on Saturday and need to buy some. I'm expecting a limit.

Balance Beam is the best way to go, scales are not accurate enough.

I dont think the expensive scales are necessary for culling. The cheaper ones may not be as accurate but that is only for a true weight of a big fish. As long as they are consistant it will be fine for culling. It might not be the exact weight but it will tell you which fish is biggest.I have the Rapala.I have some weights 5 lb, 3 lb and 2 lb and it is off an ounce on each but it weighs them the same every time.Hope this helps.

I do believe in the Cul-m-rite system.

I also believe that you have to also pay close attention. A tri-beam is required for any system and even with a high dollar system...I dont think its a bad things to have things down on paper or something.

Culling mistakes suck!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Thats the ONLY way I am gonna cull. I don't trust a scale not to mention if the batteries [censored] out you will have issues. One less electronic thing on the boat to screw up.

I agree on the cull beams but they can be hard on fish if not used with a little caution. I use them and they are a must but they will rip a mouth to bits if your not careful. JMO

Cul-M-Rite is the best scale for culling. They are expensive, their customer service is next to impossible to reach, and you have to send it in to have the battery replaced for $49.95. They are accurate though...

You could make your own balance beam. It's pretty easy! cheers
