Finally made a trip over to RR this year. As usual it did not disappoint. My son(finally home from 4 yr's as a Marine) and I got on the wtr about 7:30 am. Made a loop up the West arm looking for birds or surface action but did not find any. Drove over Cates Point and saw lot's of fish. Caught them from 15' to 25'. Ended the day with 304 on the clicker. About a third were under sized. Cleaned about 30. Alot still had eggs. Used 1oz Moes SSS slabs(got'em on sale ) and Tag-a-long flies on top.

Great day of fishing. I was on Rayrob in spirit but my arse was at work. Congratulations on a great day with your son. Please tell him thank you for his service to our Nation.

We hit Cates point sunday at about 4:30pm and left at 6:00 pm with 84 on the clicker. My wifes arm was sore from doubling up so many times in 1 1/2 hours, so we had to leave. It was very fast action. Fish were caught in 10-21 ft. of water. Used a Humdinger/jig combo. Above average sized sandbass in Ray Roberts for sure.
.... get the net !!

The main point west of Johnson Branch and across the lake (north) of Isle du Bois.
