Had a pretty good day on C.C. yesterday using the hell pet rig near the Marimac Marina Hump. Caught about 50 sandies total, most were keepers; several magnum size. Very windy in the afternoon so I could not keep my boat in position to slab for them; and had to resort to trolling for them. They were stacked up on the hump in about 14'-16', and I would pick one up every time at this depth. Saw a couple of guide boats on the lake early, but otherwise had the lake to myself in the afternoon.

Sounds like you had a good day, my congrats! Whoever guide boat you saw was not I, no trips since last weekend, had church obligation today or I would have been there. That Marimac has fish on it about 75% of the time. ------------------ Billy Seaman(guide Service)

Not me, did not know there were any other guide boats worth mentioning Other then those here and the ones that come from RC. I was hunting.

I know the guide boats that I saw did not belong to either of you two guys. I have been fishing with both of you, and know your boats. Steve, you are correct that the other guide boats are not worth mentioning as you and Billy are absolutely the best on C.C. You two guys put me and my buddy on the best fish I have ever seen and caught; and we had a great time with both of you.

Well, the only others that I know on the lake are Ernest and Omar and they are good too and worth mentioning. I think Chris Watson comes over from RC from time to time to catch catfish, he may fish for hybrids and sandbass too, but he is a great guide and a good guy as is Bob Holmes who I think has been to CC a time or to on trips. I have seen some other guides cards and boats and really do not know who they are, but there is no way to know them all. I am really referring to no other guide worth mentioning when talking about the greatest on CC and the best deal around..BILLY SEAMAN.

I'm no guide, but I did skip out of work early and go to CC.
Skeet, I saw you sitting on that hump and I started to come over, but I figured that there was no reason to crowd you with the lake as empty as it was. Well I should have. I managed only a dozen or so 10-12 inchers off of the A-frame hump. I threw them all back to grow for next summer.
I got tired of the wind pretty quick and went home.
Ditt on the Billy Seaman praise.
