The walmart in Desoto has 2 Revo S reels clearanced for 74 bucks behind the glass, they did have 3 but I got one. Looks like they sell for around 130 regular price.

I have 2 on in all of my reels. When the wind really kicks up I may have to turn 3 on in a Y pattern.

can you explain turning them on and off. I did not get a manual with mine. Is the clips what you turn on and off by pushing them in to lock or click them out to unlock? Which one is on and off or in and out. Thanks

to really get used to that reel click 5 of the tabs out that are under the right side cover. Loosen the knob on the right and then tighten it just until you feel some resistance. cast that way until you are comfortable. then snap the tabs closed one at a time. i usually just keep three on at all times and im good to go.

Jedi, the little red weights on the spool. In is "off" and out is "on". I don't know if it really makes a diff., but i always make sure the pattern of "on" is symetric. meaning with 2 on they are across from each other. 3 on is a Y pattern. 4 on would be in a X and so on...

In case you've never used a cent. brake, be careful not to pull too hard when turing "on" as the brake can come off its collar.

Good info here. I'll spool it up tonight and do some practice casts with a 1/2 ounce rattletrap.

Tried my new setup yesterday, had 3 of the weight activated and adjusted the side knob, no problems, went back to the Walmart to see if the 2 were still there, they were gone. The forum works, somebody got lucky. But I'm good at finding bargains, found the red 5000 series clearanced at another walmart for 25 bucks.
