So i was looking at topwater lures and didn't know which was better, a popper on the surface or a prop (torpedo) topwater?

I prefer the walking action of a Sammy 105. But my wife is deadly with a regular PopR

Prop baits like the Boy Howdy can be deadly you need both styles in your box.

I throw the walkers and poppers in semi calm water and use the prop baits including buzz baits when there is a little more chop on the water. The buzz bait works well for me either way. If it is calm I usually will throw a smaller bladed buzz bait (1/4 oz) and one with a larger blade (1/2 oz.) when the water has some chop
to it.

Try all of them to see what is working best that day.
