I'm going on a 4-day trip to texoma this coming weekend. I have plenty of sassy's but I would like some suggestions on slabs that I should pick up. I would like to get my hands on some prune pickers but i dont know if there is anywhere that i can buy them besides the internet, and it might be a little too late for that. Any suggestions is much appreciated. I cant wait to get up there. these reports that i've been reading the last few weeks have got me excited.

Looks like you'll be comming from the south so unless your staying on the north end of the lake Texoma tackle would be way out of your way. Otherwise yes they do sell them. There is nowhere on the Good side ( Texas ) that sells them . Prunepicker sells them directly himself and will deliver them on the lake at Willow springs Marina. If you are staying near any of the Texas marinas I could sell ya some. I get them directly from PrunePicker and am pretty close to all the Texas Marinas. My Phone # is on my website if you want to meet me somewhere. I belive with my mark up and delivery charge they're only about 18.95 per slab JUST KIDDING !! I also have some TNT slabs that work very well as A smaller sized slab which you will need. they are the same weight but have a smaller profile and many days and in shallower water the fish want a smaller slab. And Not to sound like a dang commercial But these Humdinger lures are starting to catch on here as well thanks to that Magnum man JV I now have some Humndingers that Ive been using on these fish and doing very well with them as well. Hmmmm.. Im seeing a new career as a tackle shop Seriously , I have all Three of those Lures and would be happy to get ya some if your around my side of the lake. I fish everyday and leave out very early but if you happen to be in the Pottsboro area you could run by my Boathouse in the morning before i leave and pick them up

JD, that would be great. I would like to meet up with you and buy a couple off you. Can I give you a call tomorrow afternoon to figure out the logistics? I really appreciate it.

RJMEIER, Prune Picker is the "handle" of Ron Ludwig, one of the original "Six Old Geezers" Texoma striper fishermen. He pours and finishes arguably one of the best slabs used on Texoma and, of course, they are called "Prune Picker Slabs" or PP for short. See his web site. http://www.sixoldgeezers.com/indexi.html Hossman
