Peter, google Port A house rentals or condo rentals and you will get all kinds of places to stay that still have slots open. Most of the places you find will have a calendar of open dates and most will be nice and have pictures. There is not a really up-scale place to stay, maybe the tarpon inn or something???

I will be there June 4-10 and will be staying in a condo on beach but usually stay with my family. I just need a break from them and a quiet vacation of fishing and hanging with friends. There is all kinds of Condos, cottages, and houses for rent in the area and most of the condos and houses you find for rent will be on the beach or just a block or two away. Prices range from $175 a night to 550+ a night.
If you are down around the same time as I am, hit me up and you can join us a day for some catching.
A decent Motel on the island is allister, there is also double bar cottages. Double bar is not to bad but is not on the beach but does have fish cleaning station and place to put your boat if you have one. Good luck

Rock Cottages....Once you stay there everything else will be "slightly upscale". It is really close to the beach.
